OUTREACH > CAMP ERIN
CAMP ERIN OFFERS HEALING AND HOPE. Children grieve in many ways. They require physical activity as well as safe emotional outlets.
Each summer, the Mourning Star Centers host a weekend bereavement camp for children and teens, ages 6 to 17. Camp Erin is designed to support grieving children through activities that help them share with others, build trust, learn new coping skills and have fun.
Camp activities include swimming, canoeing, fishing, skits, storytelling, arts and crafts, sports, music, grief-related activities and a special luminary ceremony.
Camp Erin is staffed by professional grief counselors from Mourning Star and VNA California, as well as trained community volunteers. There is no charge for children and teens to attend Camp Erin. Your contribution of money, supplies and/or time are most appreciated. For more information, visit www.MourningStar.org.
